Diego Costa : Injury Updates on Chelsea Striker's Status

Costa will sit out of Chelsea's meeting with Stoke City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, as manager Guus Hiddink revealed that he'll be forced out with a minor tendon injury, per the club's official Twitter account:
The former Atletico Madrid man has suffered through a turbulent 2015-16 campaign, headlined by a lengthy slump during the first half of the season.

He made more headlines for his on-pitch antics than his scoring, including an incident with Arsenal's Gabriel Paulista, for which he was charged by the Football Association, per Dominic Fifield of the Guardian.

His form has improved since the appointment of Guus Hiddink as interim manager of the Blues, however, and with limited options on the bench, Costa has led the Chelsea attack for the majority of their matches.

Loic Remy had some injury concerns of his own, per Metro's Ben Dinnery, and Radamel Falcao looked to be on his way back to AS Monaco until yet another injury ruined those plans, per the Sun's Wally Downes Jr.

Bertrand Traore will lead the line for the Blues against the Potters, and he'll be looking to continue his impressive form in front of goal, with two goals in recent FA Cup ties.

Hiddink will be hoping for a swift return for Costa, who remains the club's top option at the striker position by some distance.
